Franko's Oahu Surfing Map has the goal of listing every surf location on Oahu. Side One shows Franko's Map of Oahu, which depicts Oahu exactly the same as on Franko's dive map of Oahu, but replaces all of the fish, dive sites and other information with all of the surfing sites and descriptions. Oahu, of course, is the surfing capital of the world, and thus it deserves the respect of a super-high quality surfing map. This is it! Over 150 surfing spots are shown and described on the two sides of this map. Side one also shows photos of famous surfing spots, including Waimea, Bowls, Sandy Beach and Makaha. A tribute is made to Duke Kahanamoku, the Father of Modern Day Surfing, with a turn-of-the-20th century photograph. Amongst the numerous surfing spots shown and described on side 1 of Franko's Oahu Surfing Map are Makaha, Point Panic, Sandy Beach, Pounders, Sunset Beach, Banzai Pipeline, Waimea Bay, Hale'iwa, and on and on. However, it is side two of Oahu Surfing that the viewer will find the most detail, as it zooms in on the famous North Shore and the heavily visited South Shore. Side Two shows Franko's Mao of Oahu Surfing North Shore and South Shore Details. The Oahu North Shore has a collection of perhaps half of the worlds top ten surfing spots. Waimea, Sunset Beach, Rocky Point, Banzai Pipeline, Log Cabins, Chun's Reef, Jocko's, Hultin's, and Hale'iwa are just a start. There are also a collection of photos depicting the beauty and power of North Shore surfing. This map will definitely remind the surfer that the North Shore rules surfing in the Winter. Surprisingly, there are an equal number of spots detailed on the Oahu South Shore as well. Although not as notorious as the North Shore, sites like Point Panic, Bowls, Canoes, Queen's, Old Man's, Suicides, Cliffs, Sandy Beach and Makapu'u are just a start. Summer swells from the south turn Oahu into a fabulous summer surf destination. The roads map shows the viewer how to get to every surfing spot in Oahu. Printed on waterproof, rip-proof plastic. Available folded or flat laminated (like a placemat).
